Capturing Nostalgia
and living out my childhood dreams!
I'm an undergrad from the Bay Area, California studying Computer Science & Advertising at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
I'm drawn to digital experiences that resonate and linger even after the screen turns off. I aim to create work that people remember, not just use, chasing the same quiet, emotional spark that lives in a perfect chord or a striking visual.
That mindset started early: cracking open websites with Ctrl+Shift+I, building games in Scratch, layering sounds in GarageBand, designing slides in Keynote, and editing “films” in iMovie. Those creative experiments became the foundation of my toolbox, giving me a way to explore ideas, follow my curiosity, and turn inspiration into something worth sharing.
Off the screen, I'm still creating: through music at the piano, photography behind the lens, or memories while chasing sunrises at new viewpoints.
Annette.
As soon as I got access to a computer, I was cracking open websites with Ctrl+Shift+I, building games in Scratch, layering sounds in GarageBand, designing slides in Keynote, and editing “films” in iMovie.
This was elementary school, then when I was 9 I said my dream was to be a computer scientist.
While sometimes studying computer science now feels like I was an art kid whose dreams were crushed by the tech boom, I believe it truly was my dream.
Before I knew about what made money, I knew I wanted to be a computer scientist. Because the same way I could explore and create in iMovie, I could with code.
